Newton Town Under 8 Reds are playing with a fresh passing verve for spring, and each member of the team was on song against Liverton.
Kiara has got her taste for goal and began her hat trick with the opening goal, but it was Jake who got the first goal of the match with a low shot placed in the corner.
Time and again Ben W turned defence into attack, and the midfield passing from Rocco and Thomas opened up time and space. Jaden was sprightly and precise, cutting out Liverton attacks early and slotting in a goal.
As always Cameron was solid and reliable in defence and Rhyse commanded his area with assurity.
In the second half Adam, Harry and Rocco scored, but Liverton fought back picking up two goals, one from open play and the other from a penalty.
Ben E's touches from midfield released constant threats. And Jake secured his hat trick with a run the length of the pitch to slot it in.
Man of the match went to Harry who was a constant threat with his attacking runs as he bagged his first match goal. |
