The Under 11 red team entertained a very good Dartmouth team at Coach road on a very sticky pitch. Dartmouth were on the attack from the off and Town struggled to keep up at times. The only two chances for the Town in the first half fell to Jake who twice shot across the face of the goal. 0-0 at half time. The second half started as the first did and it wasn't long before dartmouth took the lead. A through ball saw a one on one with the Town keeper saw the ball calmly slotted home. A corner saw Dartmouth go 2 up when Callum flicked into his own net from the front post. The Town team looked very flat for the next 10 minutes with Dartmouth pushing for a third. The Dartmouth keeper took a goal kick which fell to Callum 10 yards inside his own half, he swung his foot at it and the ball bounced in front of the Dartmouth keeper and over his head! 1-2! the last 3 minutes were all Town attacking and if only we could have played like this from the start we would have been ok. The game finished 1-2 and Dartmouth thoroughly deserved the win, they out battled us in all areas and if not for some great stops from Alfie in the Town goal it could have been more. Man of the match went to Dan for his camoe in the second half, but it credit goes to Alfie who strugled with kicking in the mud, but whose shot stopping was excellent, Sam who ran his socks off and played well, or equally to Callum from a typical 'Callum goal' inside his own half.
