Town's under 12's hosted league leaders Galmpton this Sunday and the game was alot closer than the score line would suggest. From the off Town looked a different side to last week and were more than matching the opposition in all areas of the pitch. Midway through the first half Galmpton with a well worked move took the lead, but credit to the boys they kept working hard and a great ball from the midfield saw Alistair latching on to it and calmly slotting it home to bring Town level, however just before half time Galmpton took the lead again to go in at half time 2-1 up. The second half started badly for Town and with a 5 min wobble we lost 3 quick goals which just about ended the game but credit to the boys they kept their heads up and played some good football at times and despite Galmpton getting another goal late on Town finished the game the stronger team and had a few good chances. Coach Graham Taylor said this was a much improved performance with everyone playing their part and make no mistake this team will get better and better as they get used to each other and the way i want them to play. Man of the Match Ethan Taylor never stopped battling, great performance |
